Fringe Festival 2025

A festival full of new voices and forms

This year, the Fringe Festival presents work by 57 creators and collectives, with diverse backgrounds, styles, and perspectives. Think theater, dance, performance, poetry, and hybrid forms that are not seen anywhere else in the Netherlands. Don't expect predictable performances, but surprises in raw, intimate, and unexpected settings.

Fringe is a haven for experimentation. An ode to artistic freedom. And a place for stories that would otherwise remain untold.

Het Zandkasteel as a cultural hotspot

Our location, Het Zandkasteel, provides a unique backdrop for a selection of the Fringe programming. With its iconic architecture and unique atmosphere in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, it is a place that invites creators and audiences to explore. The combination of this location and the untamed character of the festival makes this edition extra exciting.
